According to Keller, “I am still entranced with landscapes that provide many variables of color and light. Gardens have offered a riot of color and texture and remain a challenge. Natural vistas of the Great Plains and the history of the tall grass prairies have consumed my interest for about a year: researching the types of grasses that grew over the Oglala Aquifer before the settlers plowed it under. The grasses ranged from Manitoba, Canada to northern Mexico. They are now being renewed in conservation areas. I haven’t traveled to all of these areas, but have read descriptions of writers who have. Their work pictures have triggered a need to try and recreate these landscapes.” 

A veteran artist, Keller is celebrating her 40th anniversary of presenting work in Oregon. Keller’s paintings have been viewed in galleries across Oregon, beginning with her first exhibit at Meier & Frank.
