Courtney, Stephen

Nationally recognized and awarded artist, Stephen Courtney, will have pieces of furniture and a collection of black and white photographic prints on display. Courtney’s contemporary work in studio/art furniture was recently acquired by the The Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian American Art Museum.

Giving thought to his camerawork, Courtney says, “My intuitive eye has developed a sharp appreciation for the pedestrian, the people of the metropolis”, adding, “I am drawn toward images that stir the imagination, suggest the surreal, the abstract.”
