Kirk, James

Entertainer, teacher, and watercolor artist James Kirk will be showing his paintings for the month of September. James has spent 50 years teaching students all the way from first grade to graduate school. In 1963 he became associated with Oregon College of Education and says he sees himself first as a teacher and entertainer. 

Although dropping out of high school when the Los Angeles native was only 16, James came back from World War II and enrolled in various colleges and universities. He claims he finally graduated with the recommendation, “Don’t come back!”
