Mack, Laura
“I make collaged surfaces, layered with materials as well as meaning. My drawings and paintings hold pieces of imiagery which come together as elusive, raw, and intimate moments.Within the compositional spaces are people, animal, houses and text. What happens in the world around me-the stories I hear, the faces I see, and the history I revisit-it all gets deeply felt and reverberates in my work. This empathy and simultaneity is where my art springs from, and it is what drives my content.” Laura Mack
