Little Songs of Joy
With as much stress, conflict, and negativity as there is in the world, I am working to create a series that evokes a mood of joy and tranquility.I began working with birds, because these small and ephemeral creatures symbolically embodied an immense joy to me.This series focuses on the small wonders of life, using color combinations to suggest emotion.

About the Artist:
Jodie Raborn grew up in Eugene, Oregon.She received a BFA from the University of Oregon in 1996, and a MFA from Louisiana State University in 2001.She is an Assistant Professor of Painting at Wester Oregon University, and lives with her family in South Salem.
