The geometric organic forms that inhabit my carvings and drawings come from my love of the natural world.I have always experienced nature as a spiritual place.Things seem to have a deeper importance than one might suspect, and this is where I return to in this work.I believe we are just beginning to explore the connection between science and the mystical world.I have many opposites, repetition and continuity, mystery, and humor.My hope is that viewers will get a sense of this and it will continue to serve them through the years if they should decide to purchase a piece.I also feel we need a greater appreciation of the wild world if it is to survive.

Most of my carvings are done from Northwest woods, many from my own neighborhood, and some from recycled timbers.
