Viscosity Glass
Scott Graham and Cristy Aloysi, a husband and wife team, met while learning to blow glass at Urban Glass in New York City. There they became fascinated with the ancient process of glassmaking and the challenge of forming beautiful handmade objects out of this molten material.Soon they began working and designing together.Cristy and Scott went on to study glass at the Pilchuck Glass School, The Penland School of Crafts, Haystack Mountain School of Crafts and Centro Studio Vetro in Venice Italy.
In 2002 Scott and Cristy moved to Seattle WA, the center of the American art glass movement. In Seattle they created Viscosity, a line of contemporary glass objects for the home that are unique in their clean lines and crisp designs.Besides making their own work and running their studio, Cristy and Scott also teach glassblowing at Pratt Fine Arts Center in Seattle.
The beauty of Viscosity glass is that no two are exactly the same. Each piece has been carefully shaped by the hands of the artists creating a uniqueness that cannot be imitated by any machine.Thank you for supporting the 3000-year-old tradition of glassmaking and the American art glass movement.
