March 2- April 3, 2010
Artist Reception: March 3rd, 5-7pm

Kristin Kuhn's exhibit titled, “Fragments” references the vocabulary of both landscape depiction and domestic arts. The works are constructions of conversational fragments about place; home, land and nature.

Sentences made from pleats and seams, threads and fibers are bound together with thoughts of space and depth, scale and proportion.

Shannon Richardson's work transcends the boundaries between memory and fantasy with an added element of the fantastic; this infuses the works with a sense of romance and reverie.

We have extended our gallery to a second space not far from our downtown location. Gallery 2 showcases stunning paintings in a quiet setting for those that need that extra attention. We invite you to call to make an appointment so we may offer suggestions, discuss proposals and arrange to bring artwork to your home or business. Or, visit our downtown location to inquire about our brochure that describes our “in house visits” and convenient ways to obtain art.

First Showing in Gallery 2

Our first showing in Gallery 2 features recent works by John Van Dreal and Rachel Sabin. Rachel is the recent recipient of a Willamette University Carson Grant. Through this grant, she studied the traditional techniques and methods of oil painting under the tutelage of Salem painter John Van Dreal. Using imagery drawn from the Masters, both John and Rachel painted together through Summer and Fall months, expanding Rachel's artistic skill and exploring common figurative themes. This show, the culmination of that mentorship, offers a view of Sabin's impressive emerging style as well as a glimpse of Van Dreal's new work.
