For the seventh consecutive year the Mary Lou Zeek Gallery will feature the collaborative group show, “Face the Public”. During the month of October the selected nine Oregon artists will each paint for a day at the Mary Lou Zeek Gallery to recreate Diego Rivera’s painting titled “The Flower Carrier” . The finished piece will be sold and the proceeds put into an Artists-in-Need-Fund. Each artist will paint a section in their own style and with their own medium. In addition, the Mary Lou Zeek Gallery will feature a collaborative showing of paintings by each of the nine artists during the month of October. The goals of this show are to shed new light on a familiar piece of art, to build a collaboration between twelve extremely talented artists and to have those artists “Face the Public”.
